The First Bean Blog

I am new to blogging and new to babies ... at least babies of my own! If I didn't LOVE checking everyone else's blogs so much, I would never have thought to do this. But I do think it will be nice for family to be able to check on us, without always having to wait for us to slow down enough to touch base.

So ... hoping that we can do a good job of updating, here goes our first blog, waiting for beaner (which is the name affectionately given to our little one by Rick, since he or she is about the size of a bean). Let's hope that nick name doesn't stick forever!
