This year the plan was to go to the Gaylord Texan for Thanksgiving lunch with my family and then out to Decatur to see Rick's family for dessert. We made it to the Gaylord, but Rick's family's Thanksgiving was moved out to east of Dallas, and our kids were on the very verge of well (they had been sick the week before), so we only made half of our plans. These days, half is a good showing!
Four generations of Collins/Hollands/Carmans gathered together at the Gaylord for a FEAST. It's so great. We eat all we want, and no one has to clean!
I was too busy stuffing my face to take pictures. Here's the only one I got ... of the sushi table. Yes, sushi. Where else but the Gaylord can you get turkey, dressing, prime rib, and sushi? Which are basically the four things I ate, come to think of it.

They had breakfast tables, dessert tables, pasta tables ... lots of other stuff. But the sushi was AWESOME! Nothing says Thanksgiving like a california roll dipped in wasabi and soy.
They even had a kids' buffet, complete with chicken nuggets, pizza, and jello. As we walked into the huge room, with the huge spread of food, going to our table, Caleb exclaimed, "MOM! Look! They have KETCHUP!!!!" Yes sweetie, they have ketchup. His Thanksgiving was made!

The other major highlight for Caleb - the chocolate and white chocolate fountains. (or chocolate and vanilla to Caleb). He thoroughly enjoyed dipping pretzels, marshmallows, and strawberries in the chocolate fountains. Then he tried to convince me he needed to show Granna how, then Nana, then Daddy ... etc.
Afterwards, comfy couch time in front of the Cowboys. Here's Caleb angling for some Coach lap time.

Here is a typical Caleb pose. Uncle Daniel told Caleb he didn't like to shave, and Caleb was explaining that his Daddy thinks shaving is really fun.
These trains have been the greatest gift we have ever received! Here are both kids driving trains and choo-chooing loudly.
Caleb just saw this picture and told me I needed to brush my hair!
And Rick enjoying it as best he could ... over Greek books.
