Because I have used this blog as a baby book and family photo album, I have to do updates even when they're verrrry late. So here's the quick recap of our first Christmas with 2 kids who could appreciate Christmas!
Since Christmas was on a Sunday, it was a little weird for us. But it worked out kind of nicely! I made pancakes and bacon and coffee. We got up and opened stockings and gifts, and then Rick went off to prepare for preaching, and we got ready for church. After church we headed to Midland for the week.
Kerith and her stash of gifts. Graham crackers, a new red sippy cup, goldfish, and a stuffed animal. She was ECSTATIC, mostly over the graham crackers. Hey, keep it easy while it's possible to be easy, right? A 1 year old is easy to please!

Caleb and Rick putting together the "Chuggington Roundhouse" - his big gift of the year. Note the new McQueen house shoes, which were never worn after this morning. He says they're uncomfortable. At least Kerith likes to play with them!
Caleb in front of Coach and Granna's Christmas tree. This look about sums up his Christmas! (And he got Elmo PJs that matched the PJs he bought his Daddy for Christmas.) He picked out Rick's Elmo pajamas himself, and a few weeks later, when I needed to buy him some pajamas, he asked to match his daddy! He wanted these even more than Lightening McQueen pjs!
I tried, and tried, and tried to get a good Christmas picture of these two. You know, where no one is sucking their thumb or running away. Just forget it. :)
Kerith decided to kiss Caleb! He looks a little skeptical doesn't he? She did it over and over.
Then they broke into giggles and picture time was done!
Picnic-ing in Midland. This was our "fort". He's caught mid-jump of excitement in this picture!

Christmas Coach hugs!
It was a great Christmas!
